So I’m a total geek for poetry–if it’s good and kind of old school. I’m actually really picky about modern poetry. I love “If”–it’s everything I remind myself of when life is wild and a little out of luck. I love Emily Bronte’s Plead for Me (it totally speaks to the life of a writer) and Ithaka will always run through my head in the voice of my old English teacher, a woman who taught me to believe in my writing and myself. So yeah, inspiring. And as for the photos, so far I’ve been to some pretty gorgeous places, and I want to carry them with me always.
