Cash Dash and eHow Wrap Up

Friday, January 2, 2009 at 6:45pm

so continues the cash dash, my attempt to chart what a freelancer does really make in case anyone is looking for something to measure against or is considering getting into it.

totals for this week: NADA.  yup.  you got it.  Nothing.  great week.  which means i clocked out at $300 short of my goal for the month ($1500) and i’ll post once i do my final numbers for the month how much i actually made this year.

for ehow, the experiment closed and i was 31 articles short of the mark (seriously, having written 130+ how to’s for up front pay and 69 for ehow, i’m starting to get a little tapped out of ideas.  there are only so many things i actually know how to do).

My monthly total: $22.58
Daily rate: $.72

That’s up a steady $.20 a day from last month, with almost thirty articles written this month.  hopefully by the end of jan i’ll have a hundred, which is (i believe) the crucial element of the experiment.

to nacie: i propose we continue the challenge UNTIL we make $10 in a single day.  you in?  anyone else?

interestingly, in 8 hits How to Treat a Burn has made $.63!

How to Crack an Egg finally made some money!  to the tune of $.07  ….do i have a certain slackademic to thank for that?

How to ask good interview questions is still a big winner with 90 cents and 110 hits.

i’m sure there’s more to be gleaned from this experiment, but i’m tired, so gleaning’s over.
